Event details
Greeting My Lords and Ladies!  The Canton Of Northpass welcomes you to the Silver(25th)Anniversary of our annual fall Event!  Our Lord John Barleycorn Has Decreed That while we will offer all of the annual competitions (Brewing, archery, thrown weapons, fencing, fighting,Youth combat and Sir Edwards Challenge) We will also have an arts and sciences gallery and a large masked ball in the evening! To this end we invite all to join the Celebration!  We are looking for all Original Canton Members to come and recall the glory days of old in story and song or perhaps in Paintings(pictures) for our Gallery and enjoyment of guests!  We are grateful to have the world renowned Lady Charis Accipiter as our Lead Feastocrat.  We have many Feast Surprises to come from visting feastocrats ; check back often to be amazed!  First, We have Lord Col.  Alasdair Stuart Campbell of Argyll ,OSC,OM,QOD ...He has graciously offered his "Highland Delight"made Famous at Pennsic War for many years!  Second is Countess Brekke Franksdottir of Lion"s End OSC,OR,OM,OP,OL,OSH,OSD offering an Ostgardr Favorite "Platina's Sausages" (Chapter6,#20), Next we have Effin Lou from the Barony of An Dubhaigeainn bringing a Coastal Treasure Neptune's Feast

Once again, Barleycorn shall shall host target archery.  Lord Mongo Chinua, Ostgardr’s archery champion, has designed a Mongolian themed novelty shoot to delight both the novice and seasoned archer.  This shoot shall be used to determine both Ostgardr’s new provincial archery champion and a separate archery champion of the day, for those travelling from afar.

When the range is not in use for the novelty shoot, royal rounds and a variety of other targets will be available for the populace.  The archery range will open at 10 a.m.  on Saturday, with the novelty tourney beginning at 12:30 p.m.

YOUTH COMBAT:  Youth between the ages of 6 and 16 are invited to join us on the field to test their might and demonstrate their chivalry.  Experienced fighters and those just starting out are both welcome.

We anticipate opening the youth combat field for sign-in, armoring up, and inspections at 11:00.  There will be a break in the early afternoon and then a second session.  We’ll begin with one-on-one rounds and then move on to small melees or a tournament depending on our numbers.

A limited supply of loaner gear will be available, so any newcomers can suit up and give it a try.  If you know you’re interested but don’t have a full set of armor, bring any protective sports gear you may already have — lacrosse helmets, hockey gloves, roller-skating knee pads, athletic cups, or whatever — and we’ll figure out which parts will work and find appropriate loaner gear to fill in the gaps.  Or just show up empty-handed and we’ll do our best to get you armored up and onto the field!

Contact Mathghamhain Ua Ruadháin at youthmarshal@whytwhey.eastkingdom.org if you have any questions or concerns I can address.
