The Travels of Kvasir: A Viking Schola Event date: September 9th, 2017
Hosted by Shire of Owlsherst - York, PA
Event Last Modified: August 23rd, 2017

Event details
Let us speak of Kvasir, wisest of all gods.  He was born from the saliva of the Aesir and Vanir, mingled to seal their truce.  True teacher and knowledge giver, he traveled the whale-road far and wide.  His life-liquid, drained by dwarves, was used to make the Mead of Poetry.  Thus did humanity gain Grimnir’s lip-streams.  This is not his end, however, as he plays a pivotal role in events leading to Ragnarok.

Come forth!  Be you a feeder of ravens or trader of rings.  We meet in Kvasir’s honor to exchange knowledge of the arts, the sciences, war, music, and poetry.  While the overall theme of the event is Viking Era, knowledge and arts from all times and regions are welcome.
Afterwards, those wishing to stay can share a common meal and participate in the skaldic traditions.  A faux fire and ambiance will be set up in the main hall for singing, storytelling, and bardic activities.
